Clarets boss faces the media ahead of taking on United

Head Coach Scott Parker acknowledged the importance and magnitude of Monday night's upcoming fixture with Leeds United and says it's a game that both sets of supporters can look forward to.

The Clarets face the Whites in a mouth-watering encounter, which will see third take on first at Turf Moor and Parker knows what a game like this means and is well aware of the test his side will face coming up against the league leaders.

Speaking on Friday, Parker said: "It's a big game for us both. We understand the magnitude of it and what it means and it's two teams coming up against each other that have done very well up to this point.

"They (Leeds) are a really exciting team that have been together as a squad for about 18 months now, with a couple of additions and departures, but overall in general.

"They've got real quality within their team, they can be really dangerous in attack and we experienced that when we played them away from home earlier this season.

"It's a game that both sets of supporters can look forward to and I'm sure they are. The better team on the night will come out victorious."

It's the second home evening fixture of the month, after the draw with Sunderland last Friday and Parker believes the nights under the Turf lights have an extra 'buzz' about them.

"I've enjoyed all the home games and the atmospheres that come with them, but I feel like the stadium always feels a little bit different under the lights.

"It feels like there's a bit more of a buzz around it when it's a later kick-off and I don't think we actually play at home now on a Saturday 3pm until March.

"The home support has been superb all season and Monday night sort of takes care of itself in terms of being up for it and making an atmosphere.

"I'm sure the fans will be in their numbers once again, as they always have been this season and they will make it as hostile as they can for the away teams."
