Head Coach Scott Parker admitted he's looking forward to leading his promoted Clarets out at Turf Moor for the final game of the 2024/25 campaign in front of a sold-out home crowd.

Burnley take on Millwall on Saturday afternoon in the last fixture of the Sky Bet Championship season and Parker is 'delighted' that the last game has fallen to be at home with all the supporters.

Speaking in his final pre-match press conference of the campaign, Parker said: "I think it will be a good feeling, of course. I absolutely have no doubt that once we get to the stadium, it will just be game mode and it will feel like any other, which is we're here, we need to win and we'll prep and we'll do everything going into the game to win. And maybe after the game we'll probably soak that up a little bit more.

"Fair to say, I'm delighted the last game of the season comes at home in front of our own stadium and our own home fans and I'm sure they'll be, as always, right behind the team and there'll be a special atmosphere there.

"It's worked out unbelievably. I just said that in a recent interview, I was absolutely delighted that we managed to do it in front of our home fans against Sheffield that night and the timing is perfect for us that the last game of the season falls at home as well and we get another time, a special time to spend with our supporters.

"They will show us the appreciation, what the players deserve and likewise back to them and the appreciation for their support throughout this year as well."

After being promoted against the Blades a couple of weeks ago, Burnley can win the league title on Saturday with a win against the Lions and dependant on Leeds United's result at Plymouth.

However, Parker is well aware of the test that Alex Neil's side will bring, but acknowledges the importance of claiming three points, which would see the Clarets end the season on 100 points and undefeated at home all season.

"It's a big, big weekend and it always comes like that. We've got a big opportunity and we need to go into this with a single focus like we have throughout the year.

"Millwall will be the same, they're playing for something here. So, I think all eyes and all attention all week is now turned to this single game, which is obviously Millwall and hopefully we can go in there and put on a brilliant performance in certainly coming out of the weekend's game where we were exceptional.

Parker added: "It has been an incredible journey and one to go, so we won't take our eyes off that big game at the weekend and yeah it seems a long time ago when it all started out. We've had a few of these, haven't we? So, last one and we're looking forward to the weekend now."
