The Dude Perfect International Youth Cup will be returning to Burnley in just under 50 days, as the Burnley FC Training Centre welcomes some of the best academy talent in world football.
The second set of teams to compete have now been announced, with Sevilla from La Liga, Werder Bremen from the Bundesliga, Genk from the Belgian Pro League and Celtic from the Scottish Premier League all heading to Lancashire.
They will compete against the likes of Burnley, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and FC Dallas from Major League Soccer, with more teams to be announced in the coming weeks.
The three-day tournament gets underway on Friday 30th May, with teams travelling to Burnley’s training ground from a range of different countries.
Burnley FC look forward to hosting the competition once more, with the hope of retaining the Plate trophy following last year’s tournament victory.
Dude Perfect, the Official Junior & Academy Shirt Partner of Burnley FC, will be joining as title partner for the second year running and look forward to the competition returning.
Academy Manager Chris Casper added: “Excitement for this year’s tournament is increasing day-by-day, and the latest set of teams to be announced only adds to that.
“I look forward to seeing what Sevilla, Werder Bremen, Genk and Celtic have to offer, and the fact that they have all committed to travelling over shows the pull that this tournament now has.
“If you can make it to Burnley at any point of that weekend, we’d love to welcome you.
“I’m confident that with the quality of football on display and the range of off-field activities there will be to enjoy, you’ll have a weekend to remember.”
