Following her successful 2025/26 season in front of goal, Burnley Football Club can confirm that Charlie Chadwick has signed a new two-year contract.
The women’s team striker recorded 18 goals and 11 assists in all competitions for the Clarets and will be aiming to build on that as she takes on Barclays Women’s Super League 2 for the first time.
Having put pen to paper, she said: “It feels great and I’m looking forward to next season.
“Coming into last year I didn’t think I was going to be as much of a part of the team as I was, but I’m really grateful to the staff who kept me going and helped me improve.
“I’ve worked hard during the off season and I’m ready to see some familiar and new faces.
“Next season will be a big challenge but we deserve to be there, and we’re all ready for it.”
Chadwick initially joined Burnley ahead of an Adobe Women’s FA Cup match in December 2024, before spending the rest of that season on loan at Halifax.
The 20-year-old had real success in last season’s cup competitions, scoring her first Burnley goals with a brace against Huddersfield Town in September 2025.
Then came her first professional hat-trick against Norton & Stockton Ancients, and a rich vein of form between November and January saw her net five goals in four matches.
Furthermore, Chadwick netted arguably one of the team’s most important goals of the campaign in March – the winner against title challengers Wolverhampton Wanderers.
With pre-season now underway, the former Liverpool academy striker will be keen to impress going forwards.
