Burnley U21s midfielder Tommy McDermott has signed a new and improved contract with the Club.
The 19-year-old is now tied to the Clarets until the summer of 2025, with the Club holding a one-year extension option.
McDermott moved to Lancashire from Port Vale on deadline day of the January transfer window earlier this year.
Having come through the Valiants’ youth system he made his senior debut for them at 17 years old on the opening day of the 2022/23 season.

The midfielder, who can play centrally or wide right, adapted to life at Burnley quickly, providing an assist on debut against Birmingham City.
A long-range effort followed against Fulham in the Premier League Cup and McDermott finished the campaign with nine goals to his name, including a brace at Turf Moor against Charlton Athletic.
On the news, he said: “This new contract is another positive step in my career and Burnley is a great place to keep improving.
“I think I’m an outgoing person and I learnt a lot around older players at my previous club that helped me settle in quickly here.
“Burnley’s ethos of working hard and running hard suits me and although I’m happy to have scored that number of goals in half a season, I still think there’s a lot that I can add to my game.
“It’s been good to be back for pre-season and hopefully next season I can help the team win as many games as possible.”

Academy Manager David Longwell added: “Tommy has had a positive impact on the group, both on and off the pitch, since joining earlier this year.
“He’s shown great flexibility in being able to play in several midfield positions and it’s been pleasing to see him show his creative side, something we knew he was capable of.
“His hard work and willingness to take advice on board have also been key to his development.
“These new terms are in recognition of that and I look forward to seeing him kick on again.”
