Having played a key role in Burnley Women’s successful 2025/26 season, Claudia Mummery-Walker has agreed a new contract to stay in Lancashire.

The striker has penned two-year terms, with the Club possessing a 12-month extension option.

“I’m delighted,” she explained.

“Last year was what I set out to do when I came here, so to be involved in what we were able to celebrate was great.

“It was nice to contribute as much as possible too, and I got back to playing the way I knew I could.

“I’m ready to push on again now and I think it will be more competitive (next season), which is exciting. You always want to play to the best level that you can.”

Mummery-Walker joined Burnley in the summer of 2024 with a wealth of experience in England’s top two leagues to her name.

After marking her competitive debut with a goal in August 2024’s 9-0 victory over Hull City, the striker went on to notch 12 goals in all competitions that season.

Mummery-Walker made an identical start to the 2025/26 campaign, netting in the opening day victory over Middlesbrough in Leyland.

Other memorable moments included a hat-trick off the bench against local rivals Blackburn Rovers in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

In total, the 30-year-old managed 11 goals and nine assists in all competitions, playing a key role in the side that maintained an unbeaten record in the FAWNL Northern Premier Division.

Attention now turns to the team’s first ever season in Barclays Women’s Super League 2, a division that she has played in before with Birmingham City.
