Burnley Football Club can confirm that young forward Michael Mellon has joined League One side Stockport County on a season-long loan.
The striker spent the first half of last season on loan with Morecambe in League Two, where the Scotland U21 international scored 15 goals in 27 appearances.
After then joining the Clarets’ strategic partner club Dundee in January this year on loan until the end of the season, the 20-year-old played 14 times for the Scottish side before returning to Lancashire this summer.
Mellon will now join Dave Challinor’s newly-promoted Stockport side for the 2024/25 campaign.
