Dwight McNeil played an instrumental part in the build-up to Matej Vydra's winner against Wolves, in which secured a second consecutive win for the Clarets and lifted the side out of the relegation zone.
Burnley have now secured seven points out of a possible nine in their last three matches, with a draw at West Ham and wins over Southampton and Wolves.
After the game, the wideman discussed the goal, recent results, his confidence returning and the Turf Moor fanbase.
McNeil on the last three games:
“It was a great win; we’ve had a great week as a team.
“We know it’s been difficult for the club, but the fans have stuck with us and it’s paid off.
“I thought we have been terrific in the last three games and delighted to get the seven points.”
McNeil on the goal:
“We watched it back and it’s a fantastic team goal, it started from Popey at the back rolling it out to Chazza (Taylor), then into Browny and to me, before picking out the pass.
“I thought it was a great run from Wout and a great cross from him to pick out Vyds, so we’re buzzing for him.”
McNeil on his recent performances:
“I think it’s just been a bit of a confidence thing really with me, when things changed, we had a little chat.
“That was it really, just getting my confidence back and enjoying my football and that’s what I’m doing.”
McNeil on the upcoming Watford clash:
“Every one is a big one now, we know how massive it is going down there on Saturday.
“They need the three points, but we need them too.
“But we just have to focus on ourselves and train hard this week and give it our all this weekend.”
