Academy midfielder Kian McMahon-Brown has earned his first Republic of Ireland U17s call-up for two upcoming friendlies against Denmark.
The Irish are set to take on the Danes twice in Pinatar, Spain, with the fixtures acting as a pre-cursor to October’s European Championship round one qualifiers.
McMahon-Brown, who only turned 16 last month, was born in Kildare but moved to England when he was two years old.
He signed scholarship terms with Burnley this summer having been in the Clarets’ youth system for the past five years.
The central midfielder has significant experience with the country’s U15s and U16s and was part of last year’s Victory Shield winning squad.
He now links up with Colin O’Brien’s U17s for games on Thursday 5th and Sunday 8th September.
The 2025 U17 Euros will take place in Albania and the Boys in Green will play qualifiers against Lithuania, Northern Ireland and Scotland later this year.
