Women’s team goalkeeper Naoisha McAloon has signed a new one-year contract, with the Club having the option to extend the deal by a further 12 months.

McAloon is extending her time as a Claret into a third season, having been part of last season’s promotion-winning squad.

Discussing the contract, she said: “I’m delighted to be staying another year and be a part of the project.

“It was nice to have the break, but I’ve been eager to get back in and see all of the girls.

“The new league is definitely a step up and it’s probably a different type of football too, but I think we have the staff and players capable to make sure that we’re up there and fighting.”

Born in Dublin, McAloon first moved to England when she signed for Barclays Women’s Super League 2 side Durham in 2022.

She joined Burnley in the summer of 2024, making her debut in a 9-0 FAWNL Cup victory over AFC Fylde.

After seven appearances that season, the 27-year-old recorded a further three in the 2025/26 campaign and kept two clean sheets.

Her influence has been felt off the pitch too, as McAloon won the team’s PFA Community Champion award for her efforts in Burnley and the surrounding areas.
