Burnley extended their unbeaten Sky Bet Championship run on Tuesday night to five matches, as Scott Parker's side came out deserved winners in a 1-0 victory against Plymouth Argyle.
Josh Brownhill stepped up to the spot midway through the first-half and made no mistake from 12-yards, with the midfielder slotting home his fourth goal of the 2024/25 campaign with what turned out to be the winning goal.
Scott Parker named one change from the side that drew at Oxford at the weekend, as Jaidon Anthony returned to the XI in place of Jeremy Sarmiento.

The first real opportunity fell to Luca Koleosho, as Lucas Pires worked his magic down the left and weaved into the area, before picking out Koleosho at the back-post, but the forward could only fire over the target under the pressure of Lewis Gibson.
Anthony then tested Daniel Grimshaw in the Argyle goal, as the winger cut inside from the left onto his right foot and curled an effort towards the bottom corner, forcing the former Blackpool shot-stopper to push it away from danger.
The Clarets then got their deserved breakthrough midway through the first-half, when Josh Cullen was clattered by Darko Gyani inside the area, with Robert Madley pointing to the spot.
Brownhill stepped up from 12-yards and coolly slotted home into the bottom corner to give the hosts the lead with his fourth goal of the campaign.

Argyle’s first attempt towards goal came 10 minutes before the break, when Ryan Hardie lined-up an effort from 25-yards, but the Scotsman’s strike skimmed well wide of the goal.
It took just over 10 minutes into the second-half for Burnley to try clinch a second goal of the night, when Anthony saw his fierce effort palmed away by the gloves of Grimshaw.
The visitors replied to that opportunity with their first real attempt of the night on the hour mark, as Ibrahim Cissoko broke into the box, but his tame effort was gathered comfortably by James Trafford.
With just under 20 minutes left on the clock, Parker made his first change of the night, as Sarmiento came on in place of Koleosho, with the hosts searching for a second goal.
After being introduced as a substitute in the last home game against Portsmouth and curling home the equaliser, Sarmiento came close again to making an impact, but the Ecuadorian's strike fizzed just wide of the post.
