Burnley fell to a 2-0 defeat to West Ham United at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon.
First half goals from Crysencio Summerville and Valentin Castellanos gave the Hammers a deserved half-time lead.
Burnley improved after the break, creating a flurry of chances, but they were unable to find a breakthrough, as the visitors ran out worthy winners.
After a fairly even opening at Turf Moor, the Hammers unlocked the Burnley defence in the 13th minute.
Irons midfielder Mateus Fernandes slipped in a through ball for Summerville, who raced into the area, before dinking the ball over Martin Dúbravka.
Burnley were looking for a response, enjoying a spell of possession and searching for an equaliser, but it was the visitors who struck again midway through the first-half.
Malick Diouf broke down the left wing, before firing a cross into the box, which was met by Hammers' January signing Castellanos, with the Argentinian heading powerfully into the bottom corner from close range.
Parker’s men looked to try and half the deficit before the break - Lesley Ugochukwu trying his luck from the edge of the area, before Zian Flemming fired a free-kick from 30-yards out into the hands of Mads Hermansen.
There was an early sign of the Clarets coming quick out the blocks in the second-half, when Jaidon Anthony darted past three Hammers defenders, before weaving into the are and seeing his effort caught by Hermansen.
Burnley then forced a corner moments later, as Marcus Edwards’ drilled strike was palmed wide by Hermansen.
Parker’s side were on top and came close again to puling a goal back, with Flemming seeing his close range effort blocked, before Edwards’ strike was flicked out for another corner.
West Ham’s first real opportunity of the second-half came just before the hour mark, but Summerville’s curling shot was caught comfortably by Dubravka.
With the Clarets pushing for a way back into it, the home side made a triple change just after the hour, with Jacob Bruun Larsen, Loum Tchaouna and Lyle Foster replacing Flemming, Anthony and Edwards.
The changes failed to have the desired impact, however, as West Ham eased to victory.
