Clarets back on the road with Molineux trip

Burnley head to the Midlands on Sunday afternoon, as Scott Parker's men take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in the Premier League.

The Clarets travel to Wolves off the back of a fantastic result last time out against Leeds United, where goals from Lesley Ugochukwu and Loum Tchaouna gave the hosts all three points.

Parker's men will be aiming to continue that form this Sunday, where a victory and results elsewhere could even see Burnley move five points clear of the relegation zone.

This weekend's hosts Wolves currently sit bottom of the league table and are yet to win this season, with their two points coming from draws against Brighton and Tottenham.

The opposition

Into their seventh consecutive campaign in the Premier League, Wolves have suffered a tricky start to life in the 2025/26 season, sitting bottom of the table with no league wins.

After suffering an opening day defeat to Manchester City, the Wanderers followed that up with defeats to AFC Bournemouth, Everton, Newcastle United and Leeds United.

However, it did look like a first win of the season was on the cards at Spurs last month, until a 94th minute equaliser denied the Midlands side three points.

Wolves followed that valuable point with another draw at home to Brighton, but defeat to Sunderland last weekend dented the form of Vitor Pereira's men heading into this weekend's clash with the Clarets.
