Burnley return to Premier League action on Monday night (7:45pm) as the Clarets take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground in the first league away fixture of the season.
Vincent Kompany’s men travel to Nottingham less than a month after already facing the Reds in the Carabao Cup, where Zeki Amdouni’s late strike booked the Clarets’ spot in the third round.
The Clarets will be hoping to replicate a similar result against Steve Cooper’s men in search of a first league victory.
The clash will see Burnley in action for the first time in 16 days following the September international break which saw 12 players away on international duty.
Where to watch?
Tickets for the trip to Forest are still on sale for this game and available to purchase online and at the ticket office.
The game will not be streamed on Clarets due to Premier League rules and regulations but will be shown live on Sky Sports.
There will be audio commentary on Clarets+ from Phil Bird available from 15 minutes before kick-off at 7:30pm.
Full match highlights, goals and interviews will be available to view after the match on Clarets+ and across all social media platforms.
Nottingham Forest
Having secured a 16th place finish last season, Forest are enjoying their second consecutive season in the Premier League after manager Steve Cooper guided them back to the top-flight in 2022 following a 23-year absence.
Forest added over 20 new signings in their first season back in the PL across the summer and winter transfer windows with two former Clarets goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey and striker Chris Wood amongst them.
Ahead of this season, the Reds made Wood’s loan move from Newcastle permanent in the summer and signed Anthony Elanga from Manchester United and goalkeeper Matt Turner from Arsenal.
Argentinian defender Gonzalo Montiel and youngster Andrey Santos arrived on season-long loans from Sevilla and Chelsea respectively with former Fulham and Hull City full-back Ola Aina joining on a free transfer.
Form Guide
Burnley head into Monday night’s clash hoping to claim their first three points of the Premier League season.
The Clarets have only played three matches so far in the league campaign but have suffered defeat in all three at Turf Moor against Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa.
Vincent Kompany’s side have won in the Carabao Cup, which was at the City Ground against Forest last month when Zeki Amdouni fired home in stoppage time.
Forest have lost two of their league matches and won two after an opening weekend defeat to Arsenal, the Reds responded with a 2-1 victory against Sheffield United.
Steve Cooper’s side then fell to a 3-2 defeat at Old Trafford despite being two goals ahead before taking all three points against Chelsea before the international break in a 1-0 win
What Vincent Kompany said
“Everyone has come back ready to go. It was still good for us, because there were a few that didn’t go which meant we got to spend more time working with them and maybe work more specifically and individually.
“We’re just borderline where it’s still interesting. You get teams where everyone is going and you’re left with three or four players and you’re looking at each other and asking ‘what do we do now?’ That’s not where we’re at.
“We still have enough players where we can make it very interesting and good for us to work with players and that's what we have done over the past week."
