Clarets back at Turf Moor to take on the Reds

Burnley return to Turf Moor on Sunday afternoon, as the Clarets host the defending Premier League champions Liverpool.

Scott Parker's side head into the weekend off the back of a very late and narrow defeat to Manchester United last time out, prior to the September international break.

The Clarets did win their opening home game of the 2025/26 campaign though against Sunderland, after an impressive display against the Mackems put three points on the board.

Liverpool travel to East Lancashire having won their opening three Premier League games, scoring eight goals in the three victories over AFC Bournemouth, Newcastle and Arsenal.

Tickets for the match are completely sold out in both the home and away areas of the stadium.

The game will not be streamed on Clarets+ due to Premier League rules and regulations but the fixture is available to watch on Sky Sports.

The opposition

Arne Slot's men have kicked off the 2025/26 campaign in style, taking all nine points from their opening three league fixtures.

The Reds began the new season with a convincing 4-2 victory over Bournemouth at Anfield, before then snatching all three points from St James' Park in a dramatic 3-2 win.

Last time out, Liverpool came out on top at Anfield in a 1-0 victory over Premier League title contenders Arsenal, thanks to Dominik Szoboszlai's late free-kick.

After winning the league title last season in his first season in charge, Slot bolstered his squad even more this summer with the arrivals of Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak.

The last time Burnley hosted the Reds was in December 2023, where the visitors came out on top in a 2-0 win at Turf Moor.
