Clarets take on the Cottagers back on home turf

Burnley return to Turf Moor this weekend, as Scott Parker's side host Fulham in the Premier League live on Sky Sport's Saturday Night Football.

The Clarets go into Saturday's clash looking to end a run of defeats and follow up some battling & spirited performances with a result to show for it.

Ahead of the encounter with the Cottagers, Burnley sit 19th in the Premier League table and a win over Marco Silva's side could close the gap to climbing out of the relegation zone to just two points.

Fulham travel to Lancashire searching to turn their fortunes around after losing their last two games and three of their last five, with the London side sat 15th in the table, seven points above the Clarets.

The opposition

After a fairly strong start to life in the 2025/26 campaign, which saw Fulham win two, draw two and lose one of their opening five Premier League games, the Cottagers' progress has since dropped off with seven defeats from their last 10 league games.

Marco Silva's side opened their league season with draws against Brighton and Manchester United either side of a loss at Chelsea, before picking up wins at home against Leeds and Brentford that hinted at building momentum.

However, four straight defeats against Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Arsenal and Newcastle stalled progress, before responding with a 3-0 win over Wolves at the start of November.

A defeat at Everton was then followed by impressive back-to-back wins over Sunderland and Tottenham, with the Cottagers then narrowly losing out in a nine-goal thriller with Manchester City last week, before suffering another loss last weekend at home to Crystal Palace.

In cup competitions, Fulham have reached the EFL Cup quarter-finals, with Silva's side set to take on Newcastle in the quarter-finals next week, after defeating Bristol City, Cambridge United and Wycombe Wanderers in the previous rounds.

"I might sound like a broken record and I’m weak in my position when I say it after recent results, but I am seeing progress every day in this young team.

"Progress on the training ground, and progress in the way we’re adapting to – and performing – in the Premier League. Our display against Newcastle last weekend showed that.
