Clarets return to Turf Moor to take on the Bees

Burnley are back at home this weekend, after picking up four points on the road in the last two league outings, as Scott Parker's men host Brentford at Turf Moor in the Premier League.

The Clarets will be aiming to continue their recent run of league form, which has seen Burnley come from behind to win at Crystal Palace in dramatic fashion, before picking up a valuable point at Chelsea last Saturday.

Ahead of the clash with the Bees, Parker's men still sit 19th in the league table, six points behind West Ham in 18th and just eight points behind Nottingham Forest in 17th.

This weekend's opponents head to Lancashire occupying 7th spot in the Premier League, but will arrive at Turf Moor with just two wins from their last six Premier League games.

The opposition

A remarkable first seven months of the 2025/26 campaign sees Brentford heading into March in 7th spot in the Premier League, just eight points off Manchester United in 4th.

Despite a change of manager last summer following Thomas Frank's move to Spurs, alongside the departures of Bryan Mbeumo, Yoane Wissa and captain Christian Norgaard, Keith Andrews has worked his magic to more than ensure another season in the top-flight for the Bees.

Although the London side head to Lancashire off the back of a 2-0 defeat to Brighton last weekend, Brentford have picked up some rather impressive results in recent weeks.

After winning at Villa Park earlier this month for the first time in the club's history, the Bees then claimed a first victory at St James' Park in over 90 years just a week later, before holding league leaders Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at home.

One player that has played an integral role in Brentford's success this campaign is striker Igor Thiago, with the Brazilian forward currently on 17 goals in the Premier League, which sees him second highest scorer, five behind Manchester City's Erling Haaland.

Despite Andrews' men travelling to Turf Moor in a comfortable league position, the Bees have won just two of their last six league games in total, with defeats to Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Brighton among those.

"We've been in this situation for a while now. We've always had our gloves on and we've always been punching away.

"We've hit the floor at times, but we've always picked ourselves up off the canvas.

"We've been the underdogs for large parts this season, it's something we're used to.
