Clarets head to London to face the Bees

Burnley hit the road again this weekend, as Scott Parker's side head to west London to take on Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium in the Premier League.

The Clarets head into the clash against the Bees looking to end a three game losing run, with two of those coming against 1st and 2nd in the league table, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Prior to Saturday, Parker's side currently occupy 19th place, but a victory against Keith Andrews side could move Burnley into 16th place and outside the relegation zone.

Saturday's hosts Brentford sit six points above the Clarets, but have lost two of their last three league games, with a home win over Newcastle United inbetween them.

The opposition

The Bees host the Clarets this weekend with one of the best home records in the Premier League this season, with Keith Andrews' side losing just one game, with that defeat coming against Manchester City.

Despite an opening day defeat to Nottingham Forest, Brentford responded with back-to-back wins over Aston Villa and AFC Bournemouth, but another league defeat this time to Sunderland followed.

A draw at home to Chelsea followed after the September international break, before a defeat to Fulham in the west London derby was followed by a 3-1 victory against Manchester United.

After suffering a first defeat at home this campaign to Pep Guardiola's men, the Bees went on to win four of their next five in all competitions, with a defeat to Brighton last weekend prior to hosting Burnley.

What Scott Parker said

"My general feeling around us as a group is that I see a massive progression. I don't think you can give much notice to a league table at this stage of the season - what I do take notice of is what I see from this group on a daily basis and how this young group is progressing in a lot of areas on this journey that we're on.

"Of course there's still progress to be made and learnings to be had, as we look to get more points on the board in this division, but a dozen games in, I'm pleased with what I've seen for the large part.

"We need to keep doing what we're doing; we need to stay focused; we need to stay calm - and we need to front up when things aren't going our way.

"At this level, precision is everything. The finest margins of quality decide games, and that’s where we need to be more focused and sharper, but I like the look of the group and the progress we're making."
