The safety of all match participants is of paramount importance and we recognise that reckless actions, witnessed at several recent fixtures are carried out by a small minority of fans and the majority of supporters attend and watch matches in a safe and respectful way.
We therefore ask that our supporters adhere to the ground regulations in place at Turf Moor, enjoy the game from their seat and do not to enter the playing area at any time. We remind supporters that it is a criminal offence to enter the pitch and doing so, may result in a criminal record and stadium bans. It also creates a significant safety issue not only for themselves, but for fellow supporters, Club players, staff and match officials.
The Club wants all supporters to enjoy the game safely and thank fans for their continued support.
While we understand that following the game there will be celebrations, however we urge supporters to remember that the pitch is for players and stands for spectators.
It is against the law to enter the pitch at any time and anyone who does so will face a ban and police action.
From fans, to stewards to players, we all have a role to play in keeping each other safe on matchdays. We need to protect each other, the Club and the game.
