Sean Dyche’s Clarets were forced to settle for a point against Roy Hodgson’s Hornets at Turf Moor in a tight contest and the boss provided his thoughts on the match.
Dyche on the result:
“Both teams have tried to play the conditions. I’ve been here a very long time and this is as bad as I’ve probably seen it, with the wind and the rain blowing everywhere, so that was hard in itself, we tried to take the game to them, but lost our way in the final 20 minutes of the first-half, and regained it in the second-half.

“Results are the important factor and we have to go and do that again. We were resolute in the
“The draw doesn’t change anything, we’ve kept clean sheets and we need to keep building on. We’re in a three-game week so we’ll see where we are.
“Players are coming back fit, and we are going to have to maximise the players as much as we can. We are still at stretch, but we have to keep building and take it into next week.
“The challenge is right in front of us. We have been down this road before and maybe it’s about performances, and we have to keep building with the mentality.”
Dyche on player fitness:
“Players are coming back fit, and we are going to have to maximise the players as much as we can. We are still at stretch but we have to keep building and take it into next week.
“We’ve had players down through Covid, and Johann had his appendicitis out so he’ll be out for a few weeks.
“The challenge is right in front of us. We have been down this road before and maybe it’s about performances, and we have to keep building with the mentality.”
