Head Coach Scott Parker admitted although he is pleased with his side's overall progress this season, the Clarets boss insists his full focus is to keep improving to become the team he wants them to be.

The Clarets head to Norwich this Sunday in 3rd place in the Sky Bet Championship, just three points off the automatic promotion places and currently on a seven-match unbeaten run, but Parker says there's more to come from his men.

Speaking to the media on Thursday ahead of the visit to Carrow Road, Parker said: "We're still at a stage where I want to keep improving and I know there's more to come from this team.

"I actually like the fact of the disappointment that was in that dressing room on Tuesday night from drawing a game, it shows where we want to be and where we're trying to be.

"We have to strap ourselves in and go along with the ride, don't get me wrong we were disappointed with Tuesday, but after a couple of days you put a bit of context to it.

"My main focus is on being the team we want to be, don't get me wrong I'm pleased with how we have done so far, but I know there's a lot we can still improve on."

The Clarets take on the second highest scorers in the league this weekend and Parker is expecting a challenging afternoon in Norfolk.

"They're a good side, they have picked up some good results and they are a real threat going forward. It's very clear to see with the amount of goals they've scored, they have some very dangerous players.

"It will be a tight contest with fine margins, but we always prepare the same going into every game and hopefully we can go into the game and get a result."

Parker also provided a positive update on players making their way back to full fitness, including defender CJ Egan-Riley and Lyle Foster.

"CJ is doing alright, he's moving in the right direction and has been on the grass and training. We still monitor that, as we have a few days until the game.

"Lyle is on the grass and moving well. It won't be too long before he becomes available, it's just about getting load into him now and getting match ready.
