Defender Matt Lowton says the side are looking to put Wednesday night's disappointment behind them and prepare for this weekend's trip to Villa Park.
The Clarets' Premier League clash with Watford was postponed just two hours before kick off, due to Covid issues in the Hornets' camp.
And Lowton admits that although the team were frustrated to hear the news, there's a game in quick succession to look forward to on Saturday.
The right-back said: "It was very frustrating, we did all the work building up. It was a big game for us last night and we knew that so yeah, it’s really frustrating.
"We were sat having our pre-match meal when we heard the message and it was just out of nowhere.
"It might happen a bit more frequent now, with what's going on in the world, but all we can do is now get ready for the next one.
"I’m glad there’s a game in two days time and we’re ready to go.
"We’re going to Villa Park, it’ll be a tough game but we’re going there looking for three points and hopefully get out of the drop-zone and kick on from there.
Lowton spent three years with Aston Villa between 2012-2015, after joining from Sheffield United.
And the defender, who is set to make his 150th Premier League apperance for the Clarets on Saturday, has good memories of his time at Villa Park.
"Villa was the club that gave me a chance in the Premier League, so I'll be forever grateful for that.
"I enjoyed every minute of my time there, it didn't quite work out in the end, but I can't think of anything i didn't like about the club.
"I can remember that (winning goal against Stoke City) very vividly, it gets brought up a lot within family and friends.
"The atmosphere is electric when they’re all there and I’ve nothing but fond memories from my time there.”
