Part One of this week’s ‘Loan Watch’
13 players are currently on loan deals away from the Club, across various leagues and countries, including the Danish Superliga, Scottish Premiership, German Bundesliga and Turkish Süper Lig.
This tally includes players from the first team, U21s and U18s and below is a round up of how the first seven players, in alphabetical order, fared in this week’s fixtures.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell (AGF Aarhus)
Peacock-Farrell featured as his loan side AGF proceeded to the next round of the DBU Pokalen, with a 1-0 win over Nykøbing, as Felix Bejimo netted the only goal of the game in the 64th minutes and the Northern Irish ‘keeper kept a clean sheet to secure the victory.
As the focus turned back to the league, Peacock-Farrell served the second game of his three-game suspension when Aarhus took on Viborg, in a 2-1 losing effort, away from home.
That result leaves them 7th in the table after ten games, picking up 13 points in the process, and next up for the Danish side is a tricky game against table toppers FC Copenhagen on Sunday.

Benn Ward (Swindon Town)
In the first of a two-game week, Ward was uninvolved as the Robins kept their unbeaten run going with goals from Dan Kemp and Jake Cain sealing a 2-1 victory against Grimsby Town.
However, in another game that Ward did not feature in, Michael Flynn’s side lost for the first time this season, as top-of-the-table Notts County beat them 3-1, leaving Swindon sixth.
Next up for the Robins is another double gameweek, as they face Bradford City away from home, in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday, before travelling to Reading in the EFL Trophy.

Dara Costelloe (St Johnstone)
Costelloe enjoyed a successful weekend from a personal point of view, netting his first professional goal in St Johnstone’s 1-1 draw with Livingston at McDiarmid Park.
Following that draw, Steven MacLean’s side are sat bottom of the Scottish Premiership table, picking up three points in their first seven matches.
Next up for the Saints is a tough trip to Aberdeen on Sunday, as they look to pick up their first league victory of the season.

Jack Bates (Padiham)
U18s defender Bates made his Storks debut on Saturday but was sent off after 17 minutes in their 5-1 defeat at home to Irlam FC.
Bates was still able to play in Padiham’s second game of the week, due to the rules of his suspension, and he gained 90 minutes as he helped his loan side battle to a 1-1 draw at Squires Gate.
The Storks are 22nd in the North West Counties League Premier Division, and face AFC Liverpool at the Ruby Civil Arena next.

Jack Turner (Hyde United)
Turner was an unused sub in Hyde’s first fixture of the week – a 2-0 defeat to Marine – as they exited the Emirates FA Cup at the third qualifying round stage.
The U21s defender again was not involved despite being on the substitutes bench as the Tigers returned to winning ways against Atherton Collieries, battling to a hard fought 2-1 victory on the road.
It’s another busy week for Hyde over the next seven days, as they firstly travel to Workington in the FA Trophy, before then facing Avro on Tuesday night in the Manchester Premier Cup.

Luke McNally (Stoke City)
It was also a busy week for McNally and Stoke City, as they firstly travelled to Ashton Gate to take on Bristol City – in a game where McNally came on in the 75th minute – and battled to a 3-2 victory, with Nathan Lowe bagging an 89th minute winner.
McNally then played 90 minutes as Southampton beat the Potters 1-0 at the Bet365 Stadium, leaving Alex Neil’s side 17th in the Sky Bet Championship table.
Next up for the Republic of Ireland defender and Stoke is a trip to Leicester City, which is sure to be a difficult game against the top-of-the-table Foxes on Saturday.

Marcel Lewis (Dundee)
In the Dee’s only fixture of the week – a 0-0 draw with Hibernian – Lewis was an unused substitute, and the winger is yet to make his debut for his loan side.
The result against Hibs is the second successive draw for Dundee, who are 9th in the table, on seven points after seven games.
In their final game before the international break, Tony Docherty’s team face second bottom Ross County, as they look to pick up their first win in four games.
