Peacock-Farrell plays internationally and Turner features in cup action in this week’s loan watch

Part One of this week’s ‘Loan Watch’

12 players are currently on loan deals away from the Club, across various leagues and countries, including the Danish Superliga, Scottish Premiership, German Bundesliga and Turkish Süper Lig.

This tally includes players from the first team and U21s, and below is a round up of how the first six players, in alphabetical order, fared in this week’s fixtures.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell (AGF Aarhus)

Peacock-Farrell's Danish loan side did not feature this week due to the ongoing international break.

The Northern Irish ‘keeper however did play for his nation in one of their two fixtures, as he was an unused substitute in their 3-0 victory over San Marino and played the full 90 minutes in the Green and White Army’s 1-0 home loss to Slovenia.

Aarhus are back in action this Sunday, as they travel to face Lyngby in the Danish Superliga.

This week’s game(s): SUN – Lyngby (A)

Benn Ward (Swindon Town)

Currently out with injury, Ward was uninvolved in the Robins 2-0 victory over Newport County last Saturday.

Goals from Dan Kemp and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy helped see Swindon to the three points and moved them up to 6th in the Sky Bet League to standings.

With two games next week, Swindon first face Salford City at the Peninsula Stadium before a home fixture against Gillingham next Tuesday.

This week’s game(s): SAT – Salford City (A), TUE – Gillingham (H)

Dara Costelloe (St Johnstone)

The Saints and Costelloe were without a game in the past week, due to the ongoing international fixtures.

The Scottish side currently sit bottom of the league, picking up four points in eight games so far this campaign.

Steven MacLean’s team are back in action on Saturday as they welcome Motherwell to McDiarmid Park.

This week’s game(s): SAT – Motherwell (H)

Jack Turner (Hyde United)

In the first of two games this week, Turner played 83 minutes, as the Tigers fell to a 2-0 defeat to Avro in the Manchester Premier Cup, before the defender was an unused substitute as Hyde won 3-0 away at Bradford (Park Avenue).

That result means Nick Spooner’s side move further up the table, as they are now seventh after 11 games.

In another double gameweek for the Tigers, they take on both Warrington Rylands and Ilkeston Town in the next seven days.

This week’s game(s): SAT – Warrington Rylands (A), TUE – Ilkeston Town (H)

Luke McNally (Stoke City)

The Potters did not play in the past week as the international break was taking place, so McNally was without a fixture.

Following their 2-0 loss to Leicester City in their previous game, Stoke are currently placed 21st in the Sky Bet Championship on ten points.

Next up for Alex Neil’s side is the visit of his former club – Sunderland - to the bet365 stadium on Saturday.

This week’s game(s): SAT – Sunderland (H)

Marcel Lewis (Dundee)

Following the postponement of their scheduled game against Ross County in the previous week – which will now take place next Tuesday - the Dee were also without a fixture this week as the international break was ongoing.

Lewis’ loan side are the Scottish Premiership’s 10th placed side, and the English winger is yet to make his first appearance with the club.

He will hope to make his debut when Tony Docherty’s team take on Aberdeen in their return to action on Saturday evening.

This week’s game(s): SAT – Aberdeen (A), TUE – Ross County
