Part One of this week’s ‘Loan Watch’
13 players are currently on loan deals away from the Club, across various leagues and countries, including the Danish Superliga, Scottish Premiership, German Bundesliga and Turkish Süper Lig.
This tally includes players from the first team, U21s and U18s and below is a round up of how the first seven players, in alphabetical order, fared in this week’s fixtures.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell (AGF Aarhus)
Peacock-Farrell returned to the AGF Aarhus bench following his suspension, as his loan side battled to a 1-1 draw against 2nd placed FC Copenhagen, but he did not feature in this one.
Aarhus still sit seventh in the Danish Superliga table after they were denied victory in the third minute of added time, when Rasmus Falk struck for the Lions.
Next up for the Northern Irish stopper is a trip to Lyngby in the league, but that isn’t for two weeks, due to the upcoming international break.

Benn Ward (Swindon Town)
On-loan defender Ward did not feature and was uninvolved as the Robins fell to a 1-0 defeat at Valley Parade against Bradford, as Bobby Pointon’s 50th minute goal proved to be the winner.
That is Swindon’s second defeat in their last two league games, and they now sit 9th in the Sky Bet League Two standings, dropping out of the play-off places.
Two games follow for Michael Flynn’s side this week, as they face Reading away from home in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday before hosting Newport County in league action on Saturday.
This week’s game(s): TUE – Reading (A), SAT – Newport County (H)
Dara Costelloe (St Johnstone)
Costelloe played the full 90 minutes in right midfield as the Saints pulled off a hard-fought, impressive point at Pittodrie against Aberdeen - who had beaten Rangers a week earlier – with the game finishing 0-0.
That is now back-to-back draws for St Johnstone, who are still winless in the Scottish Premiership and bottom of the table.
Due to the international break, there is no game for Steven MacLean’s side next week, as they return to action on October 21st when they face Motherwell at home.

Jack Bates (Padiham)
Bates missed out on this weekend’s home fixture due to suspension, as a perfect hat-trick from Joel Brownhill – brother of Clarets midfielder Josh – helped the Storks secure a 3-1 victory at home to AFC Liverpool.
Padiham are currently 21st in the North West Counties League Premier Division standings, winning four, drawing three and losing nine in 16 games so far this season.
Michael Morrison’s team play Wythenshawe Town away from home next up, on Saturday.
This week’s game(s): SAT – Wythenshawe Town (A)
Jack Turner (Hyde United)
Turner started, and played 90 minutes alongside fellow U21 Sam Waller, as the Tigers progressed to the next round of the FA Trophy, beating Workington 3-1 away from home.
Away from the Cup, Hyde are currently sat in midtable, as they are 11th after ten league games so far this season.
Next up for the Tigers is Avro away from home in the Manchester Premier Cup, before travelling to Bradford (Park Avenue) in league action on Saturday.
This week’s game(s): WED – Avro (A), SAT – Bradford (Park Avenue) (A)
Luke McNally (Stoke City)
McNally played 90 minutes as Stoke City were beaten 2-0 away at high flying Leicester City last Saturday.
Goals from Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy condemned the Potters to defeat in the Sky Bet Championship, and they now sit just one place above the relegation zone in 21st on ten points.
Following the international break, Alex Neil’s side will face Sunderland at home on their return to action on October 21st.
This week’s game(s): N/A - International Break
Marcel Lewis (Dundee)
Lewis and Dundee were scheduled to play Ross County on Saturday, but heavy rainfall meant that fixture was postponed and will be rearranged at a later date.
Results elsewhere during the weekend’s action leave the Dee sat 10th in the Scottish Premiership table.
Tony Docherty’s side do not play this week due to the international break, and winger Lewis will be hoping to make his debut for the club when they face Aberdeen on their return to action
