Manager Vincent Kompany hopes his side can carry the momentum and positives from Wednesday's win at Nottingham Forest into this weekend's clash with Spurs at Turf Moor.
Burnley take on Tottenham in the third league fixture of the season and Kompany says his team must continue to build and improve to get a result from Saturday's game.
Speaking on Thursday to the media, the Clarets boss knows his team will need to be at their best to gain points from Spurs and had high praise for their start to the campaign but insists his side have to have belief to get their first Premier League points on the board.
Kompany said: “There’s no such things as easy games in this league, we have to prepare for every game for the best way possible and be at our best to try get a result.
“Our team have shown something to look forward to and we need continue to build on that, whether it's against Tottenham on Saturday or any other opposition.
"We always focus on ourselves and our own improvements but we still think we can get a result on Saturday if we do that."
Kompany added: "I've been following Ange Postecoglou for a long time. You can see his team play the same way in Japan, Celtic and now Tottenham.
"These managers have a very clear idea of what they want to achieve. His mentality and competitiveness is something that will eventually lead to results. I enjoy watching his teams and I'm sure Spurs fans will too."
The September international break follows after Saturday's match with Spurs, with the Clarets then returning to Premier League action against Forest on Monday 18th.
Following the trip to the City Ground, the Clarets face Manchester United, Newcastle United and Chelsea but Kompany is looking forward to the test his side will come up against.
"Those games can all come 10 games into the season or 15 games into the season and you can be as good as you want to but it still doesn't mean you're going to get the results you want.
"The key is getting better as quickly as possible and facing the top sides early? I don't have a problem with that.
"This team has enough to have something to look forward to. It's a really enjoyable team to coach and there's not one moment I haven't enjoyed with them."
