Manager Vincent Kompany applauded his side's 'complete' performance in the impressive 3-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday as Burnley extended their winning league run to nine matches.
The Clarets sealed all three points at Carrow Road thanks to goals from Anass Zaroury, Vitinho and debutant Hjalmar Ekdal.
Speaking post-match in East Anglia, Kompany hailed his team's overall performance not only in front of goal but the defensive display shown by his side to keep out the Canaries.
The Burnley boss said: “It’s a big part of our game, we try and be as dangerous as we can from every phase whether that be a goal kick, a throw-in it doesn’t matter what the phase we just want to win the ball.
“It started from the off when Anass smelt the opportunity and grabbed the opportunity; it was a good goal and he deserved it.
"Then to get the two goals in the second half, both coming from Johann's set-pieces which were executed perfectly.
"But I also think to have two clean sheets against one of the most prolific teams offensively in the league.
"You have to applaud the defensive performance first and I think on the ball it was a very complete performance."

Kompany added: "To be able to score a couple of goals on set pieces as well, there wasn't much missing. We had bodies on the line when we needed to and players wanted to be brave on the ball when required. It was a good showing.
"It was just a complete performance today overall and I am very pleased with how the side dealt with the task they had."
Ekdal was handed his first appearance for the Clarets after signing for the Club just two weeks ago as he lined up alongside Jordan Beyer in central defence.
The Swedish international, who added the third goal of the afternoon, put in a solid shift to help keep a Norwich side at bay who had scored eight goals in their last two games.
Kompany hailed the 24-year-old's debut and described his performance as a 'man-of-the-match' display.
“For us it’s great, Taylor (Harwood-Bellis) being out it’s given us the opportunity to see others and give opportunities to others.
“Ameen (Al-Dakhil) last week was outstanding and today it’s Ekdal, another centre-back and it was a man-of-the-match performance from him too I thought.
“It helps that the other guys like Jordan, Connor and Ian around him are solid and all help new players settle into the side.
"So, we were pleased with his performance and what he can give us going forward." Said Kompany.
