Manager Vincent Kompany admits he saw his team with 'character, passion and fight' at half-time despite trailing and the Burnley boss was pleased to see his side rewarded after coming from behind to draw 2-2.
Goals from Palhinha and Muniz gave Fulham a two goal advantage at the break but Kompany says he didn't need to give the Clarets many words of encouragement, as the players took it on themselves. Substitute David Datro Fofana grabbed a brace on his home debut to ensure the points were shared at Turf Moor.
Speaking to the media at full-time, Kompany spoke about his disappointment to be 2-0 down in the first half but highlighted his team's urgency to 'have no regrets and leave nothing on the pitch'.
Kompany said: "That's what football is made for. First half we didn't start bad but out of nothing we are 1-0 down and then 2-0 down and there was just no momentum.
"The two goals we conceded can't happen, but I've been in the game long enough and when you are at home, two goals down, you can't feel sorry for yourselves.
"We just didn't get going but at half-time I saw a team that had character, passion and wanted to fight and they had a little go at each other, then had a huddle out on the pitch and they were ready.
"You could see it and feel it. They ran their socks off and got their reward for it. It's hard to give a solution straight away and in general I thought we looked a bit like we had the City game still in our legs.
"The biggest message was we couldn't leave anything out on the pitch or have any regrets, but they didn't need much encouragement from me, they took it on themselves."

Fofana was introduced in place of Zeki Amdouni just past the hour mark for the first time at Turf Moor, after making an impact off the bench at the Etihad on Wednesday night where he set up Ameen Al-Dakhil's consolation goal.
The Ivory Coast forward headed home his first of the afternoon from debutant Lorenz Assignon's cross into the area before steering home Wilson Odobert's low cross in stoppage time to seal a point for the Clarets.
Kompany had plenty of praise for the striker's performance against the Cottagers and for the impact made by Thursday's two new signings, Maxime Esteve and Assignon.
"I think that was a turning point for us. The performance of Fofana, Esteve, Assignon and all the other substitutes that came off the bench.
"He (Fofana) was aggressive, wanted to win every duel, he's very fast and it's a good starting point for him and we're fortunate to recruit him.
"These type of players can decide to go somewhere else and have other options but he's ready to put it all on the line for us."

Kompany added: "I must add, I have massive admiration for Jay (Rodriguez), Lyle (Foster) and Zeki (Amdouni). It's just another bit of help for us and he showed today he gives us something different.
"The three new ones, you have seen today what they can give us and hopefully they can play a key part in the next part of the season."
