Manager Vincent Kompany is anticipating a challenging test on Friday night, as the Clarets host West Bromwich Albion under the Turf Moor lights.
The Baggies are the third most in-form side in the Sky Bet Championship, winning nine of their last 10 matches conceding just three goals and Carlos Corberan's side will be looking to extend that run in Lancashire.
Kompany knows it won't be an easy task to come away with all three points and had plenty of praise for Friday's opposition who have climbed up to sixth place in the table.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Kompany said: "It's a team filled with experienced individuals, who have real quality in this division, so it's no surprise that they are doing so well.
"They had a slow start to the season and it took them a little while to get going, but when we played them there in September you could see the quality within the squad.
"If it wasn't for a difficult start for them, then I think they would be as high up the table as we are right now.
"It may surprise some people, but I think it's the first game in a long time that we go into a game not as the favourites to win."

The Burnley boss added: "I've seen West Brom for a while now, they have won nine in 10, it's solid and comfortable and it's going to need the best from us to get a result from this game.
"But there's no better way to start off the weekend, with a fixture like this on a Friday night on TV, it's one both teams will be looking forward to."
In the Clarets' recent win over Coventry City last weekend, Kompany introduced Nathan Tella, Ashley Barnes and Johann Berg Gudmundsson all from the bench in search of a winner against the Sky Blues.
Gudmundsson went on to curl in the corner for Jordan Beyer's winner in the 82nd minute and Kompany admits it's a 'good problem' to have over the current team selection.
"It's a good problem to have and I think there i more to come from other players too.
"The guys you have just mentioned from last weekend have done really well, but there is more to come from other players that haven't been heavily involved so far.
"Everyone is working really hard as a team and pushing each other, it's a nice problem to have for us."
