Manager Vincent Kompany had plenty of praise for his team’s overall performance against Fulham as the Clarets took all three points in a 2-0 win in London.
Wilson Odobert gave the Clarets the lead early in the second half with a sweet strike before Sander Berge fired in his first Premier League goal for the Club 20 minutes later.
Speaking post-match at Craven Cottage, the Burnley boss hailed his team’s performance, particularly in the second half and was pleased to see his side ‘rewarded’ for their efforts against Marco Silva’s men.
Kompany said: “It was a really good performance. Every game is tough in this league and today was no different.
“The other team has talented players and are able to create chances as well, but I thought in the key moments the team did really well.
“We were able to remain dangerous in most phases of play whether we had the ball, whether we were defending, whether it was the little bits in between, second balls, loose balls, mainly that, especially in the second-half.
“It helped us give us a performance that gave us a chance. But I’ve said it quite a few times, we’ve had quite a lot of good performances now but it’s the results that obviously gives you the reward.”

The victory over the Cottagers and an impressive defensive display saw the Clarets secure a second clean sheet of the campaign and Kompany highlighted the importance of a solid team performance to ensure no goals were conceded.
“The Everton game was two set plays. Credit to the opposition, you have teams where it’s their game plan and you have to give credit. It’s not a coincidence.
“But to be good in all phases, that’s what this level demands because you never have room to have the monopoly of momentum, which for us we can have in the Championship.
"We could just decide ‘okay, we’re just shutting this game down, we’re not giving the ball away’ and that was it.
“These games are much more balanced because the other teams will have momentum as well, so it needs a performance like today.”

Odobert's strike saw the Frenchman bag his second in consecutive fixtures on the road whilst Berge's 66th minute effort saw the midfielder seal his first goal in Claret and Blue.
Kompany explained: “The goals we scored represented everything that went wrong at the end of the first-half. Not the full first-half, but the end of the first-half.
“We were more alive to loose balls, we just shifted our feet a bit quicker and that allowed us to come out with the ball and give us the intent to go forward and be dangerous.
“When the ball gets to the final third it’s down to the individual quality of the player and they did really well.”
