Do you live in the Burnley and Pendle area and would like to help our Academy?
Burnley Football Club are looking for Host Family providers.
Role of a Host Family
Burnley Football Club entrusts our Host Family providers with the role of providing support, care and accommodation to our young players, who due to the nature of their training programme within the Academy, are required to live away from home.
Players may range from 15 to 21 years of age, with a main focus on our 16—18 year old scholars.
Host families are required to provide homely accommodation throughout the season and offer players their own double bedroom and access to appropriate bathroom facilities.
Part of the role of a Host Family is to help support the personal development and independence of Academy players. This may include teaching them the basic independent living skills (e.g. hygienically preparing food, cooking, washing clothes) alongside self-care skills (booking a medical appointment or planning a journey).
The host family will be required to provide meals (dependent upon the Academy schedule) in line with the basic nutrition guide provided by the Academy.
Hosts are encouraged to include young players in family life as much as the player feels comfortable.

The House Parent will:
·       Provide private, secure and comfortable accommodation for each scholar.
·       Ensure that all bills are included: namely food, gas, electric, broadband.
·       Provide laundry facilities for predominantly non-kit.
·       Providing meals as required.
