Clarets View, the Club’s fan feedback initiative, aims to offer supporters the chance to have their say on all things Burnley FC, with responses from the third survey focussing on digital content.
Of the supporters surveyed, the majority, 69%, communicated that they primarily look to social media for Burnley FC related news and content, with 60% identifying that content relating to club news would be preferred to be distributed via Twitter.
Responses from the survey also suggested that football-related content would be best placed on YouTube (51%), while features content belong on Facebook (45%).
Feedback regarding each of the Club’s teams and their main communications channel indicated that both the women’s team (55%) and academy content (55%) belong on the main club channels, while it was suggested that eSports related news may be best presented on its own social channel (58%).
Additional suggestions included content to be published on the Club’s site prior to being posted across social media channels, as well as introducing links on the main club site to similar content which supporters may wish to view.
It was also suggested that both fan and academy content should be highlighted more. All the comments received will be taken into account for future developments across the Club’s platforms.
Reflecting on the feedback from the third Clarets View survey, Fan Experience Manager, Harriet Harbidge, said: “Communicating to our fans and embracing digital platforms is extremely important to us here at the Club.
“We know many of our fans keep up to date with the Club via social media and our website, so we want to make sure they can find the information they need easily, in a timely manner. We also want to be delivering engaging content, that the Clarets family can enjoy, this is why the feedback from supporters in this area is so key to us.
“The feedback gathered will help us to implement changes and new ideas and we’re grateful to all the fans who have taken part in each of the Clarets View surveys so far.”
