Jaidon Anthony clinched the goal that made the difference in the Clarets 1-0 win against Bristol City on Saturday afternoon.
Speaking after the game the winger, whilst delighted with his goal and the team's performance, said he believes he's still got more to come.
“I’m really happy with that, it was a good performance overall. They had some control at the end and the boys had to dig deep. But I thought, to a man, we all worked for each other and got the result we deserved.”
The 24-year-old said in an interview with the Club earlier in the week that he felt happy with the start he'd made to the season but believes he's got plenty more to come. Did he feel he showed some of that at Ashton Gate?
“Definitely. I feel like I know what I’m capable of and to be honest I feel there’s probably still more to go. It was a good performance today and I enjoyed myself out there but hopefully we can make this a consistent thing, and I can help the team in this way a lot more.”
It was challenging conditions on a wet and windy afternoon, against a Bristol City side that had only lost once at home so far this season.

“Yes, very wet out there, very windy! And they’re a tough side, they don’t make it easy for you coming here. They had their moments in the game, we knew they would, but we knew we had to stick together. I thought we did that well and got out of there with the three points.”
The performance also saw Scott Parker's side clock up their third consecutive clean sheet, and 10th of the season.
“Yes, I think obviously that’s been a factor for us this season, I think we’ve had a solid base, the boys at the back have been unbelievable and then us as a team we help them with that.
“We want to make that our foundation and from there we can show the attacking intent that you saw today. I thought we created a lot of chances again today and hopefully we can have a game where we score a few!"
In addition to the solid foundation at the back, the Clarets came close to increasing their lead against the Robins with Jay Rodriguez seeing his header hit the bar and Josh Brownhill and Luca Koleosho almost finding the back of the net. Anthony believes it's about bringing both elements together into a top performance against Coventry City on Tuesday night.
“I think as a team we’re coming together nicely and hopefully on Tuesday we can pull it all together and have a top performance.”
