Johann Berg Gudmundsson's excellent free-kick against QPR at Loftus Road last month has been awarded the Sky Bet Championship's Goal of the Month for December.
On the return to league football following the World Cup break, the Icelandic forward curled home an exquisite set-piece in the first half of the Clarets' 3-0 win over the R's in West London.
Gudmundsson beat West Brom's Tom Rogic, Alfie Doughty of QPR and Kion Etete from Cardiff City to the award.
After winning the monthly prize, Gudmundsson said: "I’m really pleased to win this award, it’s nice recognition for the free-kick and it was a nice feeling when it went in.
“I worked on a similar set-piece the day before in training, so to then find the net with one in the game was great."
