The 22-year-old began his career in 2013 with his hometown club Swindon Town and after progressing through the Robins’ academy ranks signed his first professional deal in March 2017.
Twine featured for Swindon over a spell of four seasons between in Sky Bet League Two, with loan spells in between to Chippenham Town and Irish side Waterford.
At the beginning of the 2020/21 campaign, Twine then joined Newport County on as season-long-loan, where he bagged seven goals in 26 appearances, winning League Two Goal of the Month in October for an excellent long-range effort against Carlisle United.
However, parent club Swindon recalled the attacker in January 2021 and Twine went on to play 25 matches in League One in the second half of the season, scoring another seven goals in the process and won Newport County’s Young Player of the Season.
Last summer, Twine then made the switch to MK Dons on a free transfer and made an instant impact for his new club, scoring a free-kick against Bolton Wanderers on the opening day of the campaign.
Twine’s first career hat-trick came in September 2021 against Fleetwood Town, before being named League One Player of the Month in November, with three goals and four assists in just four games.
On the last game of the campaign, Twine scored four in a 5-0 win at Plymouth Argyle and helped his side finish in the Play-Off’s.
And despite the Dons falling short to Wycombe Wanderers in the semi-finals, Twine finished the season high, as he was named EFL League One Player of the Season and was included in both the EFL League One Team of the Season and PFA Team of the Year.
