Burnley Football Club are delighted to announce that centre-back Maxime Estève has signed a new five-year deal with the Club.
The 23-year-old defender, who arrived in Lancashire in January 2024 initially on loan, has now committed his future with the Clarets, signing a second new deal in less than a year.
Estève has been a key figure on the pitch across the last 18 months since arriving in Burnley, which has seen him cement his place within the back-line and establish a fantastic connection with the supporters and community.
After extending his stay at Turf Moor, Estève said: “I’m very happy to sign another deal, to me this Club is so special.
“When I came here, straight away I thought it was special, my family felt it too. It’s the best decision to stay at Burnley, for my progression and to play in the Premier League. This Club - with the Gaffer, with my teammates - is the best place to be. I’m proud to sign a new deal.”
The centre-back has featured 64 times for the Clarets over one-and-a-half seasons, after joining from Montpellier last year.
Estève initially joined Burnley on loan from the Ligue 1 side, going on to make 16 Premier League appearances in the second half of the 2023/24 campaign.
Following a successful loan spell, he then joined permanently last summer and enjoyed a magnificent season last year under Scott Parker, with the Frenchman included in the EFL Sky Bet Championship Team of the Season, as Burnley secured promotion to the Premier League.
Now entering his third season with the Clarets, Estève commits his long-term future to the Club as they prepare for the Premier League season ahead.
