Pieters on Saturday's draw with Watford:
“It was a really tough game to play in with the circumstances that we had.
“On a positive note, we kept another clean-sheet and another point on the board for us.
“It was hard to play how we wanted to play, but a point and clean-sheet is a platform to build on.
“You want to win every single game and we try do that, but we can do better, and we know we can do better.”
Pieters on checking results and the Premier League table:
“I think it’s something you naturally do, checking the other results after a game.
“But before and during, you just focus on your own game and how we can manage our own game plan.”
Pieters on making his 50th Premier League appearance for Burnley on Saturday:
“A bit longer than I expected to be honest, but I am always ready to play when called upon and be there for the time.
“Nobody likes sitting on the bench, but I am happy to be playing again at the minute and will put in 100% every time I put on the shirt.”
Pieters on the arrival of fellow Netherlands player Wout Weghorst:
“He’s settling in well, he’s only been here a week, but it’s good to see another Dutchman here.
“We saw on Saturday a little glimpse of what he can do and hopefully he can build on that and get some goals.”
Pieters on the Turf Moor support:
“It was a great atmosphere on Saturday and we all really appreciate the support.
“Hopefully it will be the same again on Tuesday night, we can’t wait to get back in front of them and hopefully put on a performance and result to smile about.”
