We would like to congratulate Brad Colston (XBOX) and Josh Blunden (Playstation) who were victorious on Monday evening when they competed in the Burnley FC ePremier League Club Playoff. They will now head down to London this weekend to take part in a media shoot in preparation for the ePremier League finals next month at Olympic Park.
The Club playoff saw the pair, who are both professional Esports players for Burnley FC, take on 14 other competitors on both XBOX and PlayStation console in a double elimination tournament to become the eventual winners on their respective platforms.
The day consisted of the players taking a tour of Turf Moor and meeting Chairman Alan Pace, before competing at the Club’s new Esports Academy at Burnley College.
The competition was broadcast live on all Burnley FC social media channels and was hosted by the fantastic commentary talent team of Liam “Vizeh” Waddington and Alex “TheFIFAAnalyst” Boden. The broadcast was watched by over 100,000 viewers.
The finals, which has a prize pool of £100,000 will now see Brad and Josh represent Burnley FC and battle it out against the other 19 Premier League clubs to be crowned the 2022 ePremier League Champions.
You can catch the finals on March 25th and 26th which will be broadcast on Sky Sports and across all Premier League channels.
