Burnley Football Club can confirm that Connor Edwards has joined Northern Premier League side Prescot Cables on a month-long youth loan.
The move will be the 18-year-old’s first taste of senior football, having penned his first professional contract last month.
Edwards joined the Clarets academy from grassroots football at U14s level and has risen through the ranks ever since, featuring in an England youth training camp earlier this season.
The goalkeeper made his Cables debut and kept a clean sheet against Warrington Rylands on Tuesday night, and could feature again when Workington visit Merseyside this weekend.
