Sean Dyche feels his players are finding their feet again after picking up a hard-earned point at home to Everton.
Robbie Brady’s second minute strike was cancelled out on the strike of half time by Dominic Calvert Lewin, as the Clarets bounced back from last week’s mauling at Manchester City.
And Dyche felt a draw was the least his side deserved from a solid display against the Toffees.

The Burnley boss said: “I thought we delivered a really good performance in general, and especially in the first half, when we showed good energy against a good outfit.
“I think we have given as good as we’ve got, if not more, but barring the Manchester City game, when they took us to bits, we’ve been excellent lately.
“City can do that to most teams, but in the last four or five games we have been showing more signs.
“We did more things right today and overall, there are a lot of good things about what we are trying to do here.

“It’s no surprise that it’s happening when the squad is getting fitter and the injuries are getting less, so there’s more strength in depth.
“The competitive spirit is good and there is a belief in each other to go and perform. Coming off that result at City, it was a challenge, but it was a good reaction today and we showed a really solid performance.”
Brady found the net with his first goal in a year to give the Clarets the perfect start.

And Dyche singled out the Irish winger for praise, following a horrendous spell of injuries that have restricted his appearances.
He added: “We started the game nice and brightly, took it on and scored a good early goal from Robbie, who I am delighted for.
“He’s had a tough time lately, along with Johann, who we had to make a decision on today to protect him.
“They’ve both had a tough time with injuries, but Robbie gave a really balanced performance today.
“His whole feel, his work ethic, his shape and the fact he kept trying to find the moments and came up with a good goal.
“In the end, he was just cramping up, as he works his way back to full fitness, and we can’t have him breaking down again.”

The point was preserved thanks to a superb late save from Nick Pope, who denied Gylfi Sigurdssson, having earlier denied James Rodriguez and Calvert-Lewin, in front of the watching England boss Gareth Southgate.
At the other end, Three Lions rival Jordan Pickford was also busy, denying Chris Wood crucially with the score still 1-0, and foiling the Kiwi again late on as Burnley pressed for a winner.
“In the end, I thought it was a game of two goalkeepers,” said Dyche. “Don’t get me wrong, I thought both teams were having a good go to win the game, and there were moments of quality.

“But it comes down to two goalkeepers in fine form. The best keepers always find saves when they are needed.
“Popey made two great saves with his legs and Pickford also makes two when he was needed, so those two have certainly done themselves no harm at all.”
