Seam Dyche admits he will look back on a challenging season with a mixture of relief and optimism for what is to follow.
The Clarets look to sign off at Sheffield United today with a double over the Blades and a win that would confirm the third best points total in their Premier League era.
And the Burnley boss is ready to unwind before preparing the Clarets for a sixth successive top flight campaign.

“I think there’s a bit of relief and optimism this season,” he said.
“Relief after a long, hard fought season and still to be in the Premier League – and hopefully signing off in the right manner with another good performance at Sheffield United.
“Then, let’s see what the next chapter brings.
“Every summer is a different one and this one will be, considerably so, with new owners and new thoughts, so let’s see what comes. I’m open-minded.”
Dyche, who will complete his eighth full season as boss today, has already admitted the current campaign has been his most challenging and rewarding as a manager.
He added: “On and off the pitch it’s been stressful and tough at times, and you have to guide your way through that.
“So I’m looking forward to the game at Sheffield United and the last press conference, and then signing off for a bit and removing myself from the situation, as much as you can do.
“You never quite switch off; there’s phone calls and emails and player recruitment and what can and can’t we do. But if I can get a little bit of time to switch off, then that will be lovely.”

A win at Bramall Lane will equal Burnley’s record of seven away wins in a Premier League campaign.
Victories at Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton, Crystal Palace, Wolves and Fulham put the team on a par with the 2017/18 campaign, which ended in Europa League football.
“It’s a nice positive, because it seems everyone keeps talking about our home form,” said Dyche.
“The balance is that it’s been a very strong away season and we’ve enjoyed that side of it.
“Our home form has suffered partly, I believe, because of the absence of fans – and that will be important going forwards, so long as things get back to normal – but I don’t think we’re the only ones.
“Statistically, I think there’s a few (teams) who have fared better away and at the end of the day, you assess a season by where you finish.
“This season, I can assure you I am delighted to still be in the Premier League after a lot of challenges, and the league table says, 100%, that we will still be in the league.”
Clarets+ will have live commentary from Bramall Lane from 3.45pm today.
