Manager Sean Dyche was pleased with his team’s performance after his side recorded a well-earned point at Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

The Clarets had opportunities to score at the Emirates Stadium, but defended valiantly at the other end, with Nick Pope keeping a clean sheet with a goalless draw.

Speaking after the game, Dyche said: “We are pleased with the result; we have been stretched for the last few weeks. We haven’t played, we have been trying to get bodies back and we have been trying to get fit and ready.

“It is a big challenge coming to these grounds and I thought we delivered a good performance due to our work ethic and tactical awareness to secure a point.

“We had a meeting with the players earlier this week and spoke about the rawness of our performances and finding that edge and doing the simple things really well.

“I thought we built on that today and we had a good base with our back five including Nick Pope.

"The team worked very hard today, and you have to when you "come to places like this.

"We take the point, but we had some many good moments when we got into the top third and breakaway moments as the game wore on.

"That is something we need to continue to look at as the season moves on, but I won’t over question that as the lads have worked very hard to get a good point.
