Burnley Football Club are looking forward to hosting the Dude Perfect International Youth Cup this weekend, with 20 teams set to descend on Lancashire!
Every player and member of staff will want to win either the Cup or Plate competition, while several individual awards will also be up for grabs.
Each team is guaranteed six 40-minute matches, with the 68 nine-a-side games to be played over five state-of-the-art pitches at Burnley Training Centre.
Ahead of the event, please find a range of important information below.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The 20 teams are split into four groups of five, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the cup bracket and the third and fourth-placed teams forming the plate bracket.
All games are 40 minutes long (two 20-minute halves) and this is a U12 age group event, but every team is permitted three overage players born between 1st July 2013 and 31st December 2013.
Cup and Plate winners will be crowned, with the cup also having a third and fourth place play-off.
In total, there will be 68 matches across the three days – that totals 2,720 minutes of action!
If any of the knockout matches are level at full-time, two five-minute periods of extra time will be played. If needed, the tie will then be decided by penalty kicks.
