Last week, we looked back at the first half of Burnley Women’s successful 2025/26 season.

It’s now time to reflect on the calendar from January to April, which saw the Clarets play 13 matches and score 40 goals…

JANUARY

All three of January’s games came in different competitions, starting with a 3-0 FAWNL Cup home victory over Middlesbrough on a miserable day weather wise.

After that was a trip to Women’s Super League outfit Manchester United in the fourth round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup, and the Red Devils’ quality shone through as they scored five times without reply.

The month then concluded with a 3-0 league victory over Sporting Khalsa, thanks to goals from Millie Ravening, Claudia Mummery-Walker, and Danielle Maxwell.

FEBRUARY

February’s schedule was slightly busier and started with one of only two defeats all season – a 4-1 reverse at Plymouth Argyle in the semi-finals of the FAWNL Cup.

Then came a 7-0 thumping over Loughborough Lightning, before Ross Wallace’s interim managerial reign formally started with a 2-0 triumph at a rain-soaked Liverpool Feds.

The month finished back at Turf Moor, where Yana Daniëls opened the scoring in the first half against West Bromwich Albion. Second-half strikes from Mummery-Walker and Heidi confirmed all three points would stay in Lancashire.

MARCH

March was a flawless month, with the Clarets winning all four league matches by an aggregate score of 11-0.

Ravening’s hat-trick stole the show when five were put past Rugby Borough at Grant Store Victory Park Stadium in Chorley, before what proved to be a pivotal result against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Charlie Chadwick’s single goal was the difference at Turf Moor, giving the team what proved to be a vital edge in the title race.

That was followed up by 3-0 and 2-0 victories over Derby County and Halifax respectively, with centre-back Jade Richards finding the net in both of those.

APRIL

The final month of the campaign started in seventh heaven at Hull City. Ravening’s brace was accompanied by strikes from Daniëls, Aimee Kelly, Millie Chandarana, Brooke Cairns, and Heidi.

Stoke City were our final day opponents, and the Clarets got the job done to lift the FAWNL Northern Premier Division trophy in front of 1,588 supporters packed into the Bob Lord Stand.
