Tournament gets underway on Friday

It’s here! Burnley Football Club are looking forward to hosting the Dude Perfect International Youth Cup this weekend, with an action-packed three days ahead.

16 teams from across the globe will descend on Padiham with the aim of winning the main trophy or the Plate competition, with the tournament being streamed worldwide on YouTube.

Each team is guaranteed six 50-minute matches, with the 48 nine-a-side games to be played over four state-of-the-art pitches at Burnley Training Centre.

Ahead of the event, please find a range of important information below.

TICKETING

Supporters are welcome to attend any of the three days for free, with healthy crowds expected throughout.

As such, you must claim your free ticket in advance of the day you plan to attend by clicking HERE.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

The 16 teams are split into four groups of four, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the cup bracket and the bottom two from each forming the plate bracket.

All games are 50 minutes long (two 25-minute halves) and each team will have a squad of up to 14 players, with nine on the pitch at any given time.

Cup and Plate winners will be crowned, with each tournament also having a third and fourth place play-off.

In total, there will be 48 matches across the three days.

ACCESS TO BURNLEY TRAINING CENTRE

Venue Address - Stockbridge Drive, Padiham, Burnley, BB12 8UA

Entry to the site will be permitted from 9.30am on Friday and 9am on Saturday and Sunday. Supporters will need to present their ticket, either digitally or as a printout on white paper.

Friday’s action starts at 10.20am with an opening ceremony, and the matches run from 11am until 5pm. Saturday’s fixtures run from 10am – 3pm, with Sunday’s schedule starting at 10am and finishing at 4pm.

There is NO car parking on site, and there is no parking allowed in the National Trust car park adjacent to Gawthorpe Hall either.

Attendees are strongly encouraged to make use of our free park and ride service, which will run from Shuttleworth College (BB12 8ST) every day.

Buses will start at 9.30am on Friday and 9am on Saturday and Sunday, before running at regular intervals throughout every day.

If the car park at Shuttleworth College fills up, a secondary Park and Ride service will be set up at St Philip the Apostle Church on Slade Lane (BB12 8NS).

Those who don’t drive are welcome to board the shuttle buses at the collection point or reach Burnley Training Centre via public transport. More details on buses and trains can be found in our visitor guide HERE.

RETAIL

Be sure to check out our on-site retail hub, which will be situated in the Fan Zone adjacent to the pitches.

There will be an exciting range of Dude Perfect International Youth Cup merchandise on sale, including t-shirts, caps, water bottles and foam fingers!

Academy Partner GRPZ Sports will be selling Burnley FC Grip Socks from their stand in the Fan Zone.

Supporters will also be able to choose from a range of Burnley FC goodies, with cash and card payments accepted.

FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY ON SITE

While you’re not watching a match, there will be plenty to do in the Fan Zone.

Club partner Rezzil will bring their VR game called Premier League Player, allowing fans to experience the highs of being a professional footballer and recreate classic moments.

Burnley Leisure and Culture are hosting a games station and inflatables on the indoor pitch, allowing for cover should the weather take a turn for the worse.

FOOD AND DRINK

There will be a range of refreshments available to purchase on site, including pizza, ice cream and coffee.

Alternatively, supporters are welcome to bring their own refreshments and/or head off site.

No alcohol is permitted on site at any time.
