Although it might have been Lyle Foster that stole the headlines with his late well-taken winner at Molinuex, Martin Dúbravka was called upon to make a heroic save in the dying seconds, but the Slovakian international was very humble in victory following the full-time whistle in the Midlands.
Dúbravka made a fantastic match-winning dive to keep out Hugo Bueno's fierce effort just moments after Foster's winner, in what was a five-goal thriller on Sunday at Wolves.
Speaking post-match after playing more than a part in the win, Dúbravka smiled: “It feels amazing, it was a crazy match. 2-0 up, to 2-2, then go win it in the last minute, it’s crazy!
“The team fought so hard. We defended well, stuck our bodies on the line and stuck to our plan. We work on certain aspects of the game and I’m glad it paid off today, we work so hard during the week in training, so it’s nice to see this pay off.
“It means a lot to us all, the team, the staff, the fans, to win away from home is always good, but in that style."
When questioned on his save, Dúbravka said: “I’m still blowing now, I'm out of breath! It’s always nice to play a part and help the team when called upon.
“We always practice hard, work on techniques, this was just one of these moments.”
