Turf Moor opening hours over the festive period

Burnley Football Club can confirm that after 12 years, team doctor Dr Simon Morris will be leaving his position at the end of this year to pursue his next adventure.

Since 2010, Dr Morris has worked with the Men’s first team and supported them during their seven years in the Premier League, including the European campaign in 2018/19.

As a loyal, dedicated and experienced medical professional, who has worked within the sports industry for over 23 years, Dr Morris will be leaving as a much-respected member of the medical team and much-loved family member of the Club.

Dr Morris said: “I’ve had the privilege of working with a variety of Managers from Brian Laws through to Vincent Kompany, however, it’s the fantastic people of Burnley Football Club that make these incredible achievements possible. I’ve had the honour of looking after the players, staff and even some of the supporters during this precious time. Our bond of friendship that we all share will continue to thrive throughout life.* I wish Burnley and its people every success in the future but this time from afar rather than from the dressing room or side of the pitch.”
