Tony Philliskirk’s U18s will host Accrington Stanley at the Burnley Training Centre on Tuesday 11th April in the semi-final of the Lancashire FA Professional Youth Cup (1pm KO).
The last-four tie had initially been drawn with Stanley as the home side. However, at their request, the Clarets have agreed to reverse – and accordingly host – the semi-final.
To reach this stage, having been handed a bye in the competition’s first round this term, Burnley beat neighbours Blackburn Rovers on penalties back in November following a 2-2 draw in 90 minutes.
Accrington also receive a bye in the first round, beating Blackpool away from home via a penalty shoot-out in the quarter-finals, also following a 2-2 draw in 90 minutes.
The winners of the last-four tie at the Burnley Training Centre will go on to play Preston North End in the competition’s final after the Lilywhites defeated Bolton Wanderers over the weekend.
