Burnley Football Club are pleased to confirm the signing of Yana Daniëls, who was with Women’s Super League side Liverpool last season.
Daniëls will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the squad ahead of the new season, which is now just 11 days away.
Having put pen to paper at Burnley Training Centre, she said: “It feels amazing to be here!
“I like the settings of the training ground and Burnley have such big plans going forwards with the women’s team, so the move felt right.
“England feels like home to me now and gives me the opportunity to enjoy life outside of football, which I think is really important.
“The people here have been really friendly too, and it feels like a family club.”
Daniëls’ career started in her native Belgium and after a year in Holland with FC Twente, she moved to England for the first time in 2017 to sign for Bristol City.
After a year with the Robins and 12 months at Liverpool she settled in the southwest and became a regular in City’s WSL side.
Known for her versatility and able to play numerous positions, Daniëls headed back to Merseyside and has spent the last four seasons as a Red, making nine appearances in 2024/25.
The 33-year-old has also made her mark on the international stage, earning 45 caps and scoring seven goals for Belgium.
Welcome to Burnley, Yana!
