A Jay Rodriguez hat-trick inside 12 minutes helped the Clarets come back to beat Rochdale 4-1 and reach the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
Rodriguez, who finished the game with four goals, turned the third-round tie on its head after the League Two side took the lead just after half-time.

Burnley were made to work for the win, but responded magnificently to secure a first competitive win at Turf Moor since the return of fans this season.
Sean Dyche’s team will now find out their fourth-round fate in tomorrow night's draw having reached that stage of the competition for the second successive season.
The Clarets, who made eight changes from Saturday’s Premier League defeat against Arsenal, made a bright start to the first meeting between the two Lancashire clubs since 1993.
New signing Maxwell Cornet made his first start since arriving from Lyon last month and was lively from the word go.
The Ivorian winger came close to opening the scoring early on after taking down a wonderful Jack Cork pass, but he couldn’t quite lift the ball past the onrushing Rochdale keeper.
Cornet then showed wonderful control from a long James Tarkowski ball, but saw his fine shot kept out. The newest summer signing also flashed the ball inches wide minutes later, ensuring the teams went in deadlocked at the break.
Just minutes into the second half, the visitors took the lead after Rochdale’s Jake Beesley swivelled on the edge on the penalty area and beat Nick Pope's dive with his drive.
But Sean Dyche’s side responded resolutely when Rodriguez nodded in a corner for his first goal of the season and 15th since re-joining the club in 2019.
And the 32-year-old forward had another just ten minutes later, after some great work from Maxwell Cornet and strike partner Matej Vydra.
A superb Ashley Westwood cross then found Rodriguez, who completed his second senior hat-trick which secured a place in the last 16 of the competition.
The on-fire striker then bundled in a fourth from close range.
It was an excellent response from Sean Dyche’s men following league defeats to Everton and Arsenal, with a trip to Leicester City now lying in wait on Saturday.
